Destiny 2 Remains Offline as Bungie Investigates Lost Player Progress

Destiny 2 is currently offline as Bungie continues to investigate players losing progress. The game was supposed to be back online by now but servers are still down.

Why is Destiny 2 offline?

According to a notice on Twitter, a yet-to-be-diagnosed problem is causing certain Triumphs, Seals, and Catalysts to lose progress for players. In a series of subsequent updates, Bungie said that it was continuing to investigate the issue and run tests, with an ETA of 3-4 am PT for Destiny 2 to come back online. At the time of this writing, servers remain down.
