This dessert at downtown Phoenix's Chase Field is getting national attention

Food Network Magazine released a list of "50 Over-the-Top Treats" this month, and Chase Field's Churro Dog made the cut as Arizona's most outrageous dessert.

First introduced in 2015, the Churro Dog at the downtown stadium is made of a warm cinnamon churro served in a long john chocolate-glazed doughnut "bun," topped with frozen yogurt, chocolate sauce and caramel.

"You need two hands for this creation," Mariah Schlossmann wrote in the article.

Food Network noted that "desserts have been becoming bigger, fancier and more mind-blowing." But among all the crazy creations, there is a show-stopping treat in every state worth making a detour to enjoy.

Some of the treats that made the list include Alabama's Cotton Candy Burrito and Connecticut's Nutella S'mores French Toast Tower.

This isn't the original Churro Dog

The Churro Dog currently costs $10 to $15 and weighs in at 1,117 calories. And while it has become a ballpark classic, it isn't the original.

Over the years, there have been several different versions of the Churro Dog, like the All American Churro Dog and Churro Dog 2.0, which we think probably should have made the list: This churro is rolled in Oreo cookie crumbs and served inside a white iced long john doughnut, topped with three scoops of vanilla yogurt, whipped cream, strawberry topping, chocolate sauce and Oreo crumbs.
