Despite the fact Taylor Swift's mother, Andrea Gardner Swift, has once again had her cancer return, the singer does not plan to stop her life. She does plan to slow down, however, and plan free time into her schedule in case something happens and her mother needs her.

In Swift's latest album, 'Lover' a song titled Soon You'll Get Better, was to nobodies surprise, about her mother and her family and how they have been handling everything surrounding a cancer diagnosis.

Tour Dates and Inspiration

Taylor Swift had announced on September 13, 2019 that she was not going to hold a typical tour for 'Lover', but she did not say why until a few hints were dropped in October and November.

However, with the most recent update that Andrea Gardner Swift's breast cancer has turned into brain cancer, absolutely none of her fans blame her for choosing a festival tour where she can easily take time off and return at a later date.

Never Stop, Just Slow Down

Taylor Swift is somebody to aspire to be like. She's never stopped her progress as a singer--or career path as a singer--she's only ever slowed it down. She is living proof that if you feel like you have to stop something, maybe try slowing down first. It's simply inspirational.

Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 after her children convinced her that she needed to see a doctor for some screenings. It's well-known that Taylor and her mother want the public to know about her diagnosis because it might help somebody else's parents if their children convince them to get checked for cancer.

A Bit About Cancer

I guess it is safe to say that there's probably a lot of people who have dealt with cancer--but how many have dealt with brain cancer? Brain cancer happens, usually, when a type of cancer metastasizes to the brain from other parts of the body.

Some general facts about this type of brain cancer are that it is still breast cancer. Just in another part of the body. It no longer only affects the breast tissue. This happens to 15%-17% of women who have breast cancer, and for 17% of the people in this group, the brain is the ONLY place where cancer metastatizes.

Well Wishes and Hope

Taylor needs her fans more than ever right now, and she needs anyone who buys a ticket to her festivals to understand if she is suddenly no longer playing that festival. It's a hard time, and terrible disease and all we can hope for is that Mama Swift kicks cancer out.
