Desiigner is doing G.O.O.D. Music proud right now, netting the label a chart topper and performing his heart out on stages across the country. Hype hit a new peak this week when the No Ceilings alum visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

G.O.O.D. kingpin Kanye West had some words of advice that he passed onto Pusha T’s new signee, which Desiigner recounted in a recent interview with Complex: “The best piece of advice that I got from Kanye West so far is that we’re not just rappers, we’re artists.”

Of course, much of “Panda”‘s initial spark begins with Kanye West’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2,” which interpolated the high-octane song in full. In the above video, Desiigner recalls meeting West at LAX and driving around, dabbing to “Freestyle 4″ and “Panda.”
