Desiigner is warming fans up for his long-awaited debut album.
The Brooklyn-born rapper returned this week with the official video for “Bigger and Bigger,” a braggadocious track he released at the end of last year. Desiigner spoke about the record in a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, saying it was just a little taste of what he and his team have in store.
“I’m happy to drop some more super shit for y’all, for real. And just keeping it going,” he explained. “… We getting bigger and bigger man. So stay tuned. We got merchandise dropping, new jackets keeping us warm outside in Desiigner fabric. We got restaurants, like I said, dropping. I got gaming streaming libraries that I’m trying to open up for the kids so they can stream there and link up there. You know, more places where young men can go and get our knowledge and stuff. I feel like our knowledge gets lost. I’m tryna find ways to for men to learn something without trying to incorporate violence so much.”
The visual depicts Desiigner as a giant who towers over the streets of NYC. The video was directed by Riveting Entertainment’s Daniel CZ, who has worked with everyone from G-Eazy and Wale to Gunna and Chris Brown. You can check out the video via YouTube above.
“Bigger and Bigger” arrived more than a month after Desiigner announced he was retiring from the rap game. The 25-year-old told fans he made the decision following Takeoff’s death in early November.
“Yo, I’m done, I’m done, I’m done. This version of me is done,” he said in a livestream. “I can’t live like this no more … Why do we fucking do this? I swear this shit ain’t nothing. I’m done rap. It’s done, it’s done, it’s done, it’s done. Not to Takeoff, bro. It’s done.”

Desiigner returned to Instagram shortly after, posting a story that simply read: “I’m done rap [sic].”
Weeks later, the “Panda” rapper announced he wasn’t retiring after all, as music helped him cope with a series of devastating losses.
“I’m not gonna stop,” he said. “… lost a lot of bros this year. We all say things out of emotions, but the truth is in me being able to let out a good cry [it helped] me see things more clearer now. I’m excited to keep sharing the gift of music that God gave me to y’all.”
Desiigner is now preparing to release his first studio album, New Color, which is expected to drop sometime this year.
“I’m working on it right now. It’s fire,” he told HNHH about the project. “I got some features on it already. It’s lit. I’m just putting it together. Shout out to a couple of great producers, like Rich Skillz, ATL [Jacob]. You know what I’m saying, people like that.”
