Desert Sun launches Reel Talk newsletter dedicated to film coverage
Palm Springs may be about two hours away from the heart of Hollywood, but film news you can use is only an email away with The Desert Sun's newest newsletter Reel Talk.
Curated by The Desert Sun's movie fanatic Ema Sasic, Reel Talk will cover film musing from sunny Palm Springs, including the latest from the Palm Springs International Film Festival and beyond.
In the weeks leading up to the festival, which is set for Jan. 4-15, expect to see news about celebrity guests who will be soaking up the desert sun and what movies to see at the multi-day event. Once the red carpet is laid out, Reel Talk will bring daily coverage and updates right to your inbox, including interviews with filmmakers, film reviews and event roundups.
While the film festival takes place for a few days in January, there's plenty of movie news to share year-round. Reel Talk will send updates about local film happenings and interviews with those in front and behind the camera.
How to sign up:
There are a couple different ways you can sign up for the Reel Talk newsletter and others that The Desert Sun team produces.
Head over to https://profile.desertsun.com/newsletters/reel-talk/, type in your email address, click "Sign up" and you're all set.
Another way is to sign into desertsun.com with your email, Facebook, Apple or Google profile. Once you've signed in, head over our newsletter page or visit https://profile.desertsun.com/newsletters/manage/.
On our newsletter page, under "manage newsletters," choose the newsletter you want to sign up for by hitting the "+" sign next to each option (you can select as many newsletters as you want).
If you don't have a Facebook, Apple or Google profile, head to our newsletter page and add your email to the form at the bottom of the page that says "Sign up today!" Once you add your email, click the blue "sign me up" button and you're set.
