Denzel Washington and Spike Lee are combining their respective skills for a new project. According to Deadline, the acclaimed talents are set for the film High And Low. The movie is set to be released theatrically by A24 ahead of its global launch on Apple TV+.

High And Low, set to begin production this spring, is described as an English-language reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 crime thriller of the same name. According to the IMDb page, the original film tells the story of a wealthy businessman whose son has been kidnapped, demanding he pay a very large ransom for his safe return.

When it is discovered the kidnapper took his chauffeur’s son by accident, the stakes change and the businessman faces a moral dilemma.
