The Denver Nuggets are in the NBA finals! Here's where you can catch the games in Pueblo

The Denver Nuggets are playing in their first-ever NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, with the first tip-off having taken place Thursday evening.

Even the cheapest tickets at Ball Arena will run you nearly $700, so here are some local businesses around town where you can enjoy some food and drinks while cheering on the Nuggets in the company of other fans.

ThunderZone Pizza and TapHouse

This Colorado State University Pueblo establishment, located on the university campus, will have $5 beer specials, and patrons can score a large two-topping pizza during the games for $15.

General Manager Vanessa Apodaca said before Thursday's game she expected a large crowd, as the ThunderZone was packed during the Western Conference finals.

"We filled up every single game, everyone wearing their Nuggets gear and cheering them on. I can't wait to see what the finals bring," Apodaca said. "When (the Avalanche) won the Stanley Cup last year, that was a big deal, so it'll be fun to have the basketball crowd in here this time."

The NBA Finals will be streamed on many of the establishment's 18 TVs, with some also dedicated to the NHL playoffs. "We know not everyone is a Nuggets fan, although obviously we hope they are," Apodaca said.

Food items such as pizza, burgers, wings, sloppers, and desserts are on the menu at ThunderZone. The business has a variety of drinks to choose from, including 32 beers on tap.

Classic Q’s

This bar and pool hall on Pueblo’s south side has been running food and drink specials throughout the Nuggets’ run in the playoffs, including a free shot for people who wear team jerseys.

Classic Q’s will show the big games on projectors at the bar and offer drink specials during the finals, according to their Facebook page.

The food menu includes classics such as sloppers, chicken tenders and onion rings. Classic Q’s also has a full bar to offer.

Tacos Fuego

You can catch the game and grab some "fuego" food at this popular spot in Bessemer.

Tacos Fuego will show the NBA Finals at the restaurant, which has many tacos, Mexican specialties and margaritas on the menu.

The restaurant has not planned food or drink specials specifically for the games at this point, but its manager said game-day specials may be announced on the Tacos Fuego Facebook page.

In addition to corporate chains like Old Chicago and Buffalo Wild Wings, several other local restaurants and sports bars will show the games.
