Dennis Quaid Character Draws Comparisons With Donald Trump

On Wednesday’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Dennis Quaid was on to promote Season 2 of his online drama, The Art of More, which is coming out later this year. In the show, Quaid plays a real estate mogul with political aspirations.

Despite the obvious resemblance with Republican candidate Donald Trump, Quaid said Season 1 of the drama was shot before Trump’s presidential campaign was announced.

When asked by Colbert if Trump might have stolen the idea of running for president from Quaid’s show, in a case of whether or not truth is stranger than fiction, Quaid replied, “We thought we were outrageous!”

Despite the similarities, Quaid admitted that his character is somewhat like Trump, but perhaps a little kinder and softer.

You can catch the first 10 episodes of The Art of More on Crackle.

Watch Colbert hilariously pester Paul Ryan about running for president.
