“Everything is common under the fact that we are all human, and we all deserve to love and respect each other — and let’s have some house music.”

Isn’t it such a house music thing to run a spoken-word message of inspiration over a funky groove? It really embodies everything the genre has stood for from the beginning. Today’s partisan world feels more divided than ever, and not just in the United States, but across the Free World. We’re all looking at each other like the opposite side is out to ruin us all, but we have to keep these words in mind, and that’s what Denney and Roger Sanchez, under his alias S-Man, try to remind us with their collaborative track “Unite.”

“To be working with Roger Sanchez is a dream come true for me,” Denney says in an emailed statement. “The record is a straight-up club track, and his vocals are actually from a speech he gave in the NYC Downlow at Glastonbury last year. The message of the track is to ‘Unite’ together as one, which I think in the current state of affairs with the world is more poignant than ever.”

“Unite” is out on Heidi‘s Jackathon Jams label Friday, but you can listen to it below, right now, exclusively on Billboard Dance.
