Denise Richards knows her latest appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wasn't her finest moment.

While appearing on Podcast One's On Display with Melissa Gorga, Richards, 52, acknowledged that what was supposed to be her "comeback moment" on the hit Bravo show turned awry when she incoherently went to blows with Erika Girardi at Kyle Richards' THC dinner.

The Two and a Half Men alum explained that she had debated skipping out on the dinner after she came down with a virus. After three negative COVID tests, she "stupidly" decided to show face, but told producers she would not be imbibing in the cannabis on the menu.

"I didn't want to not go because I didn't want [the housewives] to say, 'Oh, she didn't show up,'" she added. "But whatever... I made an asshole out of myself."

Richards touched on the headlines that broke after her appearance on the reality show, nothing how other housewives have also had their fair share of embarrassing moments.

"So why did everyone make such a big deal with me?" she asked before Melissa Gorga assured her that her "superstar" status and her "bubbly personality" had made her a subject of interest amongst Bravo fans.

Richards quipped that her return to RHOBH ended with comments like, "Oh, she's here and look at her, she's so f---ing sideways!"

"When I got home [my husband]'s like, 'What the f--- is wrong with you?'" she laughed.

On RHOBH, Richards shocked viewers and her former cast members when she grew increasingly intoxicated at the group's THC dinner. With her facial contortions, slurred speech and her failed attempt at confronting Girardi, Richards left the party wearing her pink fur jacket upside down.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Gorga asked Richards to clarify her confrontation with Girardi and the answers she was looking for. The Scary Movie 3 star revealed that she wasn't "mad" at Girardi and began the evening noting that the "XXXPEN$IVE" singer was a lot kinder without the presence of Lisa Rinna.

Richards claimed she wanted to know what changed and why she had come after her so fiercely during her time on RHOBH.

In her own appearance on the Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat podcast in October 2023, Girardi shared her perspective on her interaction with Richards while filming the latest season.

“Denise came looking for a fight,” she explained. "We were having a THC dinner at Kyle's house… I was feeling very good and Denise came there to pick a fight and I very graciously did not [engage].”

Girardi claimed that she “didn’t know what the f— she was saying” and added that she felt Richards should have saved the drama for “Teddi [Mellencamp], or Brandi [Glanville] or Lisa Rinna” which she “did not have the balls to do.”

“I just apologized and she was very inarticulate,” she recalled, adding that she eventually “let her have it” after failed attempts to let things go. “And that's what you see in the trailer was just that, you know, in the first dinner, I apologized. I took the high road.”

“She called me names,” the singer continued. “She called me like a f—ing bot monster, saying that I had sent these bots to Garcelle [Beauvais]’s son and that was not true. I said I'm really sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're speaking about and what you did to my family.”
