Denise Richards is clearing up some rumors after appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The reality television personality, 54, made a surprise return to the hit franchise for season 13 after announcing her departure from the series following two seasons in September 2020.

On Sunday's episode of the Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast, Denise shared that she decided to attend Kyle Richards' "weed party" after being asked by Garcelle Beauvais.

"I was asked by Garcelle, 'Hey, would you go to a dinner or lunch or something?' And I said, 'You know what? If you're there, I'll go and do it.'"

Denise's attendance at the dinner confused viewers as she was shown coming for Erika Girardi, leading fans to believe that she might have been intoxicated or under the influence.

Of her behavior, Denise voiced that she doesn't do weed or edibles since they "don't mix well" with her body, and shared that she's only tried weed twice and didn't enjoy it. She said she was told there would be things without weed at the dinner but remembers "going sideways."

"I came home, and Aaron [Phypers, Denise's husband] was like, 'What is wrong with you?' And I go, 'I don't know.' I've never been like that," she recalled.

After host Bethenny Frankel asked if she took something before attending the event, Denise said she only had one drink because she was "nervous seeing the women."

Apart from having one drink, Denise said she was also sick and "not feeling well." She said she didn't want to cancel and was allowed to attend the gathering after taking three COVID tests, which all came back negative.

"Progressively during the evening, I felt worse and worse," she said, noting that she had taken "regular cough medicine... and then I just [don't] remember half the night. It was bizarre."

"Maybe there was a mix-up in the meal or the water or something. I don't know. All I know is when I got home, I was like, what, there's something wrong with me," Denise continued.

When asked by Frankel, 53, if she said anything she regretted during her return, she shared, "I won't even watch it because I'm sure I obviously made an ass out of myself. So I was like, why the hell am I going to watch myself like that?"

As for the situation with Girardi, 52, Denise said she was trying to ask her why she had been "such an a--hole" to her.

"I felt like I didn't even where to start. That's why I kept telling her, 'Did you watch the show?' Like, where do I start? It starts from the beginning of the season that I was on to the end," she said.

This isn't the first time that Denise has spoken out about her appearance on season 13 of RHOBH. In April, she confirmed to Variety that she had "filmed some episodes" of the Bravo series, noting that it wasn't planned, but had "been fun" to be back.

"I'm a big fan of the show, so it was fun to go back and film a lot of stuff with them," she shared. "This all just happened recently on the spur of the moment. I was at [Garcelle's] screening as a friend — like a real friend — I didn't tell anyone I was gonna be there. Production didn't know. I just showed up, like, for real life, as a real friend in real life. The next day, I was asked to go to some events — and so it's been actually fun."

She also spoke about her role on season 13, telling Variety: "I feel like I didn't get sucked into it. I truly was myself on the show. And I think some of the women are different on camera and off camera. And I think you know what? Don't self-produce. Just be yourselves. You get a group of six to eight [to] 10 women together, your drama will come up, authentically. Leave it at that and have fun with it."

Denise joined RHOBH in season 9 airing in 2019 after left after two seasons. At the time her exit was confirmed, Bravo producer and host Andy Cohen said on PeopleTV's Reality Check that Bravo was "negotiating a deal with her and we couldn't reach an agreement on the deal."

Later addressing her reasoning for leaving ahead of season 11, Denise said she "went back and forth" before reaching a final decision. "I've been a fan of the show and had a lot of fun doing my first season. Obviously, my second season was very challenging," she previously shared on The Real. "I went back and forth with it and at the end of the day, I decided it was time for me to move on and focus on other projects that I have. I'm glad that I did it though."
