Denise Brown – sister of Nicole Brown Simpson – is putting herself back in the middle of controversial court cases.

Brown has inked a deal with NBC's Peacock Productions to develop a true-crime series, set to highlight cases "where justice has been called into question," the production company announced Wednesday.

"Denise has experienced first-hand the complexities of the criminal justice system," Melody Shafir, vice president of development at Peacock Productions, said in a statement. "She testified on behalf of her sister during one of the most high-profile murder trials in recent history and will draw on that experience throughout the series, with a deep understanding of the impact the system can have on the victim's family."

The series is currently untitled and an airdate has not been announced.

Brown expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming project, praising the production company for their "expertise in the true-crime narrative and unscripted programming."

"I am excited to begin working with Peacock and tell the stories of the lives that have forever been changed by the criminal justice system," she said in a statement.

Brown experienced the criminal justice system firsthand during the 1995 trial of the century, which was recently dramatized in the FX series American Crime Story: People v. O.J. Simpson. Her former brother-in-law O.J. Simpson was charged and ultimately found not guilty of the murder of his ex-wife and Brown's sister, Nicole, and Ron Goldman.

On the stand, Brown spoke extensively about the alleged domestic abuse her sister suffered at the hands of the former football star.

Now running the Nicole Brown Foundation, an organization that helps domestic violence victims, Brown, 58, continues to dedicate her time to bringing awareness to the issue of domestic violence, along with her other sister Tanya.
