Demi Moore Champions the Coquette Trend in a Bow Dress

The coquette look has been adopted by none other than Demi Moore, who showcased the trend on the Cannes red carpet on Saturday.
After finishing a busy week in the Riviera—from the debut of her new film The Substance to her role as appointed Trophée Chopard “godmother”—the actor wrapped up everything (including herself) with a bow. She attended the closing ceremony of the famed film festival in a strapless black Celine dress complete with a colossal white satin bow. Affixed diagonally at the front of her dress, the bow partially covered Moore’s right shoulder and drew the eye up to her diamond drop earrings.
The black column gown also featured a thigh-high slit which revealed the actor’s footwear of choice; a pair of strappy black stilettos from Celine. With the help of her stylist, Brad Goreski, she rounded out her accessories with a few sparkling diamond rings, which she wore on both hands.
For glam, Moore wore her long dark hair straightened in a center part, and opted for a sweet makeup look that matched the endearing energy of her dress. Maintaining a soft pink palette, the actor’s beauty look consisted of flushed cheeks, shimmery lids, and a glossy pink pout. The monochromatic glam made her glow as if she was lit from within—which she might’ve been, considering her film The Substance won a coveted Palm d’Or award later that night for best screenplay.
The horror project also stars Dennis Quaid and Margaret Qualley. While its plot remains unknown, the festival’s website provides an ominous description of the film: “Have you ever dreamed of a better version of yourself? You should try this new product: the Substance. It changed my life. With the Substance, you can generate another version of yourself, younger, more beautiful, more perfect…. Just share the time. One week for one, one week for the other. A perfect balance of seven days. Easy, isn’t it? If you follow the instructions, what could go wrong?”
