Demi Lovato's Mom Dianna De La Garza Welcomes Her Fiancé Jutes to the Family: 'The Most Perfect Couple'

Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes has been welcomed with open arms into his fiancée Demi Lovato's family, after their engagement on Saturday.
The "Skin of My Teeth" singer's mother, Dianna De La Garza, celebrated the engagement by welcoming Lutes to the family with a comment on an Instagram post highlighting their exclusive announcement in PEOPLE.
“Welcome to our family, @jutesmusic WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! And I love you @ddlovato ❤️ You’re the most perfect couple!! ❤️,” De La Garza wrote.
Lutes, 32, then replied to his future mother-in-law, 61.
“@diannadelagarza love you! thank you for having me 🖤🖤🖤," he wrote.
Their interaction concluded with De La Garza replying with a final round of hearts: “@jutesmusic ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Lutes popped the question with a bespoke pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring created by N.Y.C. luxury jewelry boutique Material Good, a rep for the singer confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.
After a "personal and intimate proposal," Lutes and Lovato (who uses she/they pronouns) headed to Craig's, one of their favorite L.A. restaurants, to celebrate with their families.
The songwriter first met Lovato in January 2022 when the pair co-wrote their song "Substance.” Lutes also shares writing credits on their tracks "Happy Ending" and "City of Angels" from Lovato's eighth album Holy Fvck.
Lovato, 31, and Jutes were first linked after they were photographed holding hands ahead of the release of Holy Fvck. PEOPLE confirmed Lovato's new relationship in early August 2022, with a source revealing at the time, "It's a really happy and healthy relationship. He's a super great guy."
"We became friends first. We were friends for several months and then we decided to start dating and well, after we told each other how we felt," Lovato shared in an August 2022 interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.

"I don't know what I'm going to write about on my next album because I'm so happy. It is a really good feeling ... definitely a bunch of sappy love songs — for sure," Lovato told CBS Mornings earlier this year while promoting their new music.
In July, Lovato then opened up to SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up about their love story, saying they were "friends first and foremost."

A couple of months later, in September, the "Confident" singer reiterated on the LadyGang podcast how their relationship began with friendship.
She shared that the Canadian recording artist was so professional that it took “a couple months” for them to embrace a romantic relationship.
“He was just so focused on the music,” Lovato said. “So we were friends for a while and then told each other how we felt.”
