Demi Lovato Backs Scooter Braun in Beef with Taylor Swift: 'He's a Good Man'

The Taylor Swift/Scooter Braun war has divided Hollywood in half and Demi Lovato has joined Justin Bieber in supporting her manager.

The "Heart Attack" singer posted a message on her Instagram Story, which began, "I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He's a good man."

"Personally," she continued, "I'm grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop 'dragging' people or bullying them. There's enough hate in this world as it is."

Perhaps predicting Swift's fans would not approve of her first message, she posted a second one that began, "Y'all can come after me all you want but I'm always gonna stay loyal to my team."

She then added, "I value loyalty more than most people in this world and if my name is gonna be brought into conversations I'm gonna stand up for myself and the ones on my team."

On the opposite side of things, Cara Delevingne laid into Justin Bieber after he posted an apology to Swift for his role in the beef with Braun ... which dovetailed into him calling her out for "crossing a line" in her post about Braun.

Delevingne commented on Bieber's Instagram post — actually, it was a replay to Hailey Bieber, who simply wrote "Gentleman" — and she went scorched earth.

"Gentleman? @haileybieber @justinbieber you must be bored," she began. "I wish you spent less time sticking up for men and more time trying to understand women and respecting their valid reactions."

She continued, "As a married man, you should be lifting women up instead of tearing them down because you are threatened. I am not sure you actually understand what an apology is. This issue that @taylorswift is talking out is about far more than a picture and you know that."

Delevingne concluded her post by saying, "As you said, you haven't spoken to her in years which means you definitely don't understand the situation. I do. Take a step back and try and learn from this. We should all be on the same team. End of story."

Mandy Teefy, the mother of Selena Gomez, wrote a lengthy Instagram post backing Swift, which began, "@Taylorswift I wish I could give you a big hug right now! Thank you for speaking out about this and teaching future young artist about protecting themselves."

She continued, "I don’t understand the pleasure of power plays to simply hurt people! To deny you the option to own your blood, sweat and tears, especially as a young women [sic] who shared growing up in front of the world, is heartbreaking!!"

Teefy then concluded her post with a comment aimed at Braun's wife, Yael Cohen Braun, saying, "@yael I would love to have a mom to mom meeting in private, drink some tea and have some real talk!! XO."

The drama kicked off on Sunday when Swift penned a lengthy Tumblr post expressing her displeasure after the news broke that Scooter Braun acquired the record company that owned her first six albums.

"For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work," Swift began. "Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future."

Swift described the idea of Braun owning her music as her "worst case scenario."

"This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term 'loyalty' is clearly just a contractual concept," she wrote. "And when that man says 'Music has value,' he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it."

Swift went on to explain, "When I left my masters in Scott’s hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them. Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter. Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words 'Scooter Braun' escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever."
