Demi Lovato Adding Super Bowl Appearance To Her Comeback Tour

Demi Lovato is making quite a comeback in 2018. Much to the delight of her fans. The singer has not been on stage performing live since an overdose issue in 2018. That caused her to retreat from public performances in all of 2019.

This year's Super Bowl will mark only her second performance in more than a year. As she is also set to appear in this year's Grammys that are going to be taking place on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Lovato will be performing the national anthem before the game in front of thousands of fans in Miami's Hard Rock stadium. This will actually not be the first time that she is going to perform the national anthem prior to a sporting event.

She gave her rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner in the 2011 World Series Game 5. That game took place in Arlington Texas. As a Texas native, Lovato did not hesitate to show her support for the local team. We will see if she picks a favorite this time around.

Will We See Her Appear With Shakira and Jlo?

In the last few super bowls, there have been many surprise appearances from different guest stars. One of the most famous moments was the brief comeback of Destiny's Child when Beyonce took the stage for her half time performance.

This year's performers Jlo and Shakira have had some bumps along the way in the rehearsals leading up to the show. With all that is going on an appearance by Demi side by side with them is probably not something that is likely to happen.

What To Expect

Whenever an artist is announced as singing the national anthem on a major platform speculation starts to build. Especially regarding what their take is going to be on the anthem. As we mentioned before it is not like this is going to be Demi's first run at signing the national anthem on a big stage.

The question here is, could we expect the same type of interpretation by her? Maybe she takes the opportunity to mix things up a bit.

Getting In A Little Preview

If you want to know what she is likely to sound like on the day of the Super Bowl definitely check out this video of her singing the anthem. In the next couple of weeks, we are probably going to see performers really kicking things up a notch to make sure that they are going to be ready for the big game. Which may not go so well for Shakira and Jlo and their long term relationship. If things continue the way that they are going.
