Demi Burnett is sharing all about the "embarrassing" social media exchange she had with actress Ruby Rose in 2019.

The 25-year-old reality star revealed on Wednesday's episode of the We're Having Gay Sex podcast that Rose — whom she called the "catalyst of every girl that goes gay" — slid into her Instagram DMs after she came out as bisexual on Bachelor in Paradise.

"She DM'ed me one time and I almost died," said Burnett. "It was really funny, because she said, 'Hey,' and I was like, 'Oh my god, she's sliding in.' I was like, 'This is it.' "

Burnett continued: "I was freaking out and I was like, 'Okay, gotta play it cool.' I was like, 'Hi, what's up' or something and she said, 'Sup.' I was like, 'what do I say?' I was actually doing something cool, but it wasn't that cool, but I made it sound like it. I was at WWE, so I just said, 'I'm filming on set right now.' "

However, Burnett soon learned that the former Batwoman star, 34, messaged her only with friendly intentions at the behest of the pair's mutual friend, Demi Lovato.

"She was like, 'Oh, I'm just messaging you because Demi Lovato told me to,' " Burnett said. "Cause me and Demi Lovato are good friends and Demi knows I'm obsessed with her, so Demi was probably like, 'You should DM her, because she will love it.' "

"I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I thought she was hitting on me," Burnett said with a laugh. "Embarrassing. Mortifying."

Burnett first appeared on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in 2019 before joining season 6 of Paradise that summer, where she and girlfriend Kristian Haggerty got engaged in the season finale and became the Bachelor franchise's first same-sex couple.

That October, Burnett and Haggerty confirmed they had called it quits with a joint statement.

Burnett later confirmed she was dating musician Slater Davis in February 2020. They were inseparable for the next few months, with Burnett moving into his family's home in Calabasas, California, during the U.S. coronavirus outbreak in March.

But in June, Burnett revealed on an episode of her Big Demi Energy podcast that she and Slater split because of "toxic" trust issues.

"I recently broke up with my boyfriend," she said on her podcast at the time. "I love him, I'm crazy about him, he's wonderful, and it's just been really hard. But we are wanting to work on ourselves and we are still very good friends. It's just never fun whenever you're going through that."

Burnett went on to explain self-isolating together "essentially really messed up our relationship."

"Being with somebody who you just met like, a month ago, and then spending every single day together, both of us going stir-crazy and not being ourselves, not doing our normal routines, it really gets to people," she said.
