Demarcus Cousins' crossover dribble pulled the rug out from underneath Nikola Vucevic
Demarcus Cousins’ Cousins’ 26 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals in Friday night’s 111-97 win over the Orlando Magic spoke for itself. However, his crossover dribble is one of the quietly kept secret weapons in the league. Two years ago, he nearly wrecked Gordon Hayward’s knee ligaments with a felonious crossover. He’s also done unspeakable things to the ankles of Al Jefferson and Timofey Mozgov.
During the third frame, Cousins snapped a crossover that took Magic center, Nikola Vuvecic’s legs out from underneath him, then laced a pass to Jrue Holiday, who drilled the wide open trey.

Cousins’ guard skills are unnatural for a player with his measurements. Early on, Cousins eschewed the crossover, opting to just blow by Bismack Biyombo and hammered it home over his arms.
