K.I.D.S. was Mac Miller’s first release for the independent Rostrum Records. The tape featured a number of Mac’s most iconic early songs, like “Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza,” “Nikes on My Feet,” and “Knock Knock.”

Mac followed K.I.D.S. with March 2011’s Best Day Ever mixtape and his November 2011 studio debut Blue Slide Park, which, at the time, was the first independently-distributed debut to top the Billboard 200 since 1995.
