The man accused of killing teen sisters in Delphi, Indiana, will stand on trial in October 2024. However, the previous date of his trial was supposed to be January 2024. Since the suspect Richard Allen’s defense attorneys, Andrew Baldwin and Bradley Rozzi, withdrew from the case on October 19, 2023, Judge Fran Gull announced the trial’s postponement.

On October 26, 2022, Richard Allen was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Abigail Joyce “Abby” Williams and Liberty Rose Lynn “Libby” German. While Abigail was 13, her sister was 14. Furthermore, officials discovered their bodies near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is a part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, U.S. The suspect’s house was very close to the area where the corpses of the teens were discovered.

What did Richard Allen do?

50-year-old Richard Allen was a resident of the sparsely populated town of Delphi, Indiana. Even though officials have not released the exact details of the murder, the suspect was formally charged on October 28, 2022.

According to Fox 59, Richard Allen previously lived in Mexico. However, he moved to this town in 2006 and lived there ever since. He worked as a pharmacy technician and had a clean record. The only trouble he had with the law was over some parking tickets which he had already paid for.

On February 13, 2017, at exactly 1:35 p.m., Abby and Libby’s elder sister Kelsi German, dropped them off on County Road 300 North, east of the Hoosier Heartland Highway. The two teens were hiking the Monon High Bridge. Furthermore, at 2:07 p.m., Libby posted a photo of her sister walking the bridge. This was the last time anything was heard from the sisters.

Officials discovered their bodies a day later.
