What is 'The Price is Right Live?'

"The Price is Right," television's longest-running game show, is on a national tour that delivers a live, on-stage version of the CBS show that doesn't air on TV. This production is called "The Price is Right Live."

While the 52nd season of the TV show is hosted by Drew Carey, "The Price is Right Live" features a "celebrity host" with randomly selected contestants playing popular games like The Big Wheel, Showcase, Cliffhangers and Plinko, according to PriceIsRightLive.com.

Contestants have a chance to win a share of the $12 million-plus in cash and prizes. Some audience members can also win prizes from their seat, per the website.

Bob Barker & Drew Carey are icons

The most famous host for "The Price is Right" is Bob Barker, who died in August at 99 years old. Barker held his post for 35 years and is the third longest-tenured host of a game show.

He's behind only Alex Trebek from "Jeopardy!" (37 years) and Pat Sayjak from "Wheel of Fortune," who is celebrating his 41st season on the show, which he's announced also is his last.

Sayjak holds the Guinness World Records title for the longest career hosting a single game show, a title previously held by Barker.

In 2007, Drew Carey became host of "The Price is Right." Carey is currently in his 17th season with the show. He also ranks as the sixth-longest tenured host for a TV game show.
