Dehd Announce New Album Flower of Devotion , Share New Song: Listen

Dehd have announced their next album. It’s called Flower of Devotion and it arrives July 17 via Fire Talk. It’s the second album from the Chicago-based indie rock trio of Emily Kempf, Jason Balla, and Eric McGrady, following the 2019 debut Water. Check out a video for the new single “Loner” below.

Although the band recorded Flower of Devotion last year, the album addresses isolation on “Loner” and elsewhere. “I’m obsessed with being with people, or I’ll have my identity attached to a partnership, whether it’s romantic or in the band,” Kempf said in a statement about the record, adding that she wanted to explore how to be “utterly alone and chill.”
