Def Leppard, Journey and Steve Miller Band set to rock Nashville's Nissan Stadium

Nissan Stadium is going to be rocking July 20 when Def Leppard and Journey bring their "Summer Stadium Tour 2024" to Nashville with special guests Steve Miller Band. Def Leppard played Nissan Stadium in June of 2022 with Joan Jett and Motley Crue.

The Summer Stadium Tour kicks off on July 6 in St Louis, Missouri, and runs through Sept. 8 in Denver, Colorado. The tour features appearances by Heart and Cheap Trick, although they will not be part of the Nashville show.

Formed in 1977 by front man Joe Elliot and bass player Rick Savage in Sheffield, England, Def Leppard has sold more than 110 million albums worldwide and in 2019, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Current members include Elliott, Savage, Phil Collen (guitar), Vivian Campbell (guitar) and Rick Allen (drums.)

Journey was formed in 1972 by guitarist Neal Schon, who is the only original member remaining in the band who has played on every album. Schon was joined by Jonathan Cain (keyboards) in 1980. Front man Steve Perry, whose voice is on many of the band's biggest hits including "Don't Stop Believin'," "Faithfully" and "Oh Sherrie," was a member of the band from 1977 to 1987, and again from 1995 to 1998. Lead vocals are now handled by Arnel Pineda who joined the band in 2008.

Perry recently sang backing vocals on Dolly Parton's rock album, Rockstar, along with a duet cover of Journey's "Open Arms".
