Deerhoof Reissue Surprise Symphonies , Share “Symphony #1”: Listen
Deerhoof announced the digital release of Surprise Symphonies—a rarities and B-sides album originally released on cassette as part of the band’s out-of-print Children of Hoof Music Library 25th Anniversary cassette box set, released late last month. It’s due out May 1 via Joyful Noise as a Bandcamp exclusive, which coincides with Bandcamp’s 24-hour waiver of its revenue share in support of artists during the coronavirus pandemic. Check out the lead single “Symphony #1” below.
Last week Deerhoof released “‘Farewell’ Symphony,” the third single from their forthcoming LP Future Teenage Cave Artists; the song follows last month’s title track and “The Loved Ones.”
