DeChambeau on playing with Trump: 'An honor'

Bryson DeChambeau has won himself plenty of acclaim for a fast start and a notable wardrobe on the PGA Tour. That was enough to earn him an invitation to play some post-Christmas golf with the President of the United States, and afterward, DeChambeau glowed about the round:

“It was truly an honor to play with The President, [Georgia] Senator [David] Perdue and Dana Quigley at his incredible course in Palm Beach today,” DeChambeau wrote on Instagram. “It was a day I will never forget! It also never hurts to come back strong on the back nine to win the match! The President is definitely used to doing that!”

Trump has made something of a habit of playing golf with the world’s best; playing partners in recent months have reportedly included Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas. He’s spent the three days after Christmas on the course, according to local reports:

Thursday marked Trump’s 87th day at a Trump golf property, and 113th day at a Trump-owned property, since taking office in January.
