As the calendar year comes to a close, its final month doesn’t have quite the sheer number of shows as others usually do. Still, as everyone scrambles to squeeze in as much last-minute viewing for all those end-of-year lists, there are a handful of new(ish) series vying for one last burst of attention before 2020 comes around.
