The Decameron, starring Tony Hale (Veep) and Zosia Mamet (Girls), will debut on the streamer this July, TVLine has learned. Set in the ye olde year of 1348, with the Black Death running rampant in Florence, the self-described “soapy period dramedy” follows a handful of nobles who “are invited to retreat with their servants to a grand villa in the Italian countryside and wait out the pestilence with a lavish holiday,” per the official description. “But as social rules wear thin, what starts as a wine-soaked sex romp in the hills of Tuscany descends into an all-out scramble for survival.”

Hale and Mamet are joined in the cast by Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Derry Girls), Karan Gill (I May Destroy You), Leila Farzad (I Hate Suzie), Amar Chadha-Patel (Willow), Lou Gala (Julia), Dougie McMeekin (Harlots) and Jessica Plummer (The Girl Before). Kathleen Jordan (Teenage Bounty Hunters) serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer; Jenji Kohan (Orange Is the New Black) also serves as an EP.

Netflix has also released a series of first-look photos from The Decameron. Scroll down to get a sneak peek, and then tell us in the comments: Will you be watching?
