Based on the namesake webtoon by Lee Won-sik and Ggul-chan, Death’s Game is a South Korean fantasy series that revolves around Choi Yee-jae, a hopeless young man unable to land a lob. He dies by suicide and encounters a mysterious entity identifying themselves as Death. This entity decides to punish him for his actions by forcing him to reincarnate 12 times in the bodies of people facing imminent death. Death’s Game Season 1 was released in two parts on December 15, 2023, and January 5, 2024. If you are wondering whether there will be a season 2 of Death’s Game, this is what we have discovered.

Is there a Death’s Game Season 2 release date?
There is no Death’s Game Season 2 release date as the series seems to have ended with Season 1.
South Korean shows generally wrap their plot within one season, leaving no narrative scope for Season 2, though this seems to have begun to change with the growing popularity of the content coming out of that part of the world. Until part 2 came out, it was difficult to tell which Death’s Game falls into which category.
Now that it has, we can speculate that there will likely not be a season 2 as the story of Choi Yee-jae, the protagonist, seems to have come to a satisfactory end. He (spoilers warning for those who haven’t watched the season finale) finally learns his lesson after spending a lifetime as his mother. He accepts his sin and Death allows him to go back to the moment when he took his life, so he can make a different decision. Yee-jae decides to live, and as the episode ends, he gets a call from his mother.
