How did Deepika and Arjun get married?

The story begins with Arjun, a light sleeper who wakes up at the slightest sound. In contrast, Deepika is a sound sleeper who has been suffering from snoring since childhood. Due to her condition, many potential suitors have rejected her. Arjun and his family visit Deepika’s house to consider her for marriage, unaware of her snoring problem.

During the marriage discussions, it is revealed that Deepika’s mother and Arjun’s mother are school friends. Therefore, Deepika’s mother chooses not to disclose Deepika’s snoring issue to Arjun. On their first night, Arjun informs Deepika about his sensitivity to noise. This revelation shocks Deepika, who confesses to her mother and receives advice to stay awake all night.

Despite her efforts to stay awake, Deepika falls asleep and starts snoring loudly, disturbing Arjun’s sleep. This leads to Arjun getting shocked and upset, resulting in him staying up all night. The next day, both hesitated to discuss the problem openly but could not avoid the issue. Arjun even cancels their honeymoon and returns home due to the ongoing sleep disturbance.

Back home, Arjun confides in his friend about the situation and seeks advice from his co-worker regarding snoring in women. Eventually, they decide to address the issue together and devise a plan where they alternate sleeping arrangements each night.

This routine continues for a month, but both Arjun and Deepika suffer from sleep deprivation, affecting their daily lives and work. Despite their struggles, they remain committed to saving their relationship. Arjun searches for a doctor to address Deepika’s snoring problem, while Deepika considers therapy for Arjun’s sleep issues.

DeAr movie ending: Did Arjun divorce Deepika?

After marriage, Arjun’s problems escalated when he became a subject of ridicule at his office due to his sleep deprivation. His inability to conduct a crucial interview led to him losing his job, shattering his aspirations. Determined to end his marriage, Arjun filed for divorce without informing Deepika.

The court rejected the divorce petition filed on the grounds of a snoring issue and referred the case for mediation. Despite his elder brother’s efforts to reconcile, Arjun remained stubborn. Months passed, and Deepika revealed her pregnancy to Arjun, pleading for him to withdraw the divorce. However, Arjun insisted on taking responsibility for the child without reconciling with Deepika. Shattered, Deepika underwent an abortion against Arjun’s wishes.

In another turn of events, Arjun’s mother fell critically ill and required bypass surgery. Learning about Arjun’s estranged father through a letter, Deepika confronted Arjun, leading to a reconciliation between Arjun’s family and his father’s return.

Arjun’s father’s wisdom about marital relationships deeply impacted Arjun, prompting him to reconsider divorce as a last resort. On the day of the divorce proceedings, Arjun apologized to Deepika and expressed his desire to reconcile, urging her to adjust and give their marriage another chance.

The family reunites, and Arjun and Deepika welcome a baby boy, who also exhibits signs of snoring. This shared experience brings laughter and unity to Arjun and Deepika, symbolizing their renewed bond. For those eager to watch DeAr, it is currently streaming on Netflix.
