Real ones know that something cataclysmic happened with the release of Hayley Kiyoko's Bachelorette-themed music video, "For the Girls."
In the project, which dropped on May 20, 2022, Hayley stars as the reality series' first lesbian Bachelorette as she welcomes a group of hopeful gals to a stunning mansion. The two are captured together at Nylon's Annual Young Hollywood Party as Hayley's career is skyrocketing. She would go on to be featured on the cover of Nylon's first-ever Pride Issue the following month.

Becca confirms to US Weekly that she's happy and in love...but it seems like we'll never know with whom 👀. "I like that [my relationship is] private and that it’s my own," Becca said. "I had a public relationship before and it just felt like I had a lot of people involved, which I know that’s why they sort of watched me in the first place. I’m really happy and I hope to eventually start opening up about it more, but I’m happy with it being private right now." Privacy respected, hopes crushed!

The former reality star tells Lauren Zima on an episode of Roses & Rosé that she isn't sure when she'll share her relationship with the world, noting, "The people who I want to know, know about it...I think there's something really special that it's just ours." She also touches on her own show, Scrubbing In, and admits, "It's hard having a podcast where my co-host Tanya [Rad] is so open about her life and her dating life, and then people being curious about mine since they do follow me from my journey to find love. It's hard in that sense to be like, 'Oh, am I letting people down?'"
However, Becca does shed some light at the end of the tunnel when she reveals, "If there's a moment where I feel like, 'OK, I'm ready to let everybody into my relationship and everyone can have an opinion on it, [then I will share].'"

On May 18, Becca and Hayley attend the Elle Hollywood Rising event in Los Angeles looking v cute together:
Then, on May 20 *the* music video for Hayley's song "For the Girls" drops, and everyone collectively loses their shit because in it the singer basically lives out episode 1 of a fictional Bachelorette season.
The California native meets contestants one by one, has some pretty steamy makeouts, and sparks tons of drama between the girls. Then at the end, it's Becca who emerges in a stunning gold, off-the-shoulder dress and smiles at Hayley before the song ends 🥺. TBH, it's pretty safe to assume it's the Bachelor alum who gets the final rose in hindsight because *dramatic pause* after the music video drops, Becca takes to Twitter to write, "3rd time’s a charm 🌹. So so happy 🥰."

That same day, she also shares footage of her and Hayley's last four years together on Instagram.
Plus, we find out the night before "For the Girls" premiered, the singer pulled the former reality star onstage, handed her a "final rose," and gave her a hug and kiss at a bash celebrating the single.
Since then, the adorbs romance has been nothing short of a whirlwind for these two, with Becca admitting on a May 23 episode of Scrubbing In, "When I made the decision to go public with it, I thought, 'I have this army of people who have my back no matter what. And the people that I care about most in the world are our supporters and they love us,' And so I was prepared for anything and everything."
She teared up and continued, "I was not prepared for the amount of love and support that we got. Like, I just could have never predicted…" BRB, grabbing Kleenex stat 🥺.

Hayley speaks with People about feeling "overwhelmed in the best way" in her relationship with Becca.
"It feels really good," she gushes. "I mean, we lived a very normal life. It just wasn't on social media. We lived very open. And we've been together for four years, but now it's on social media. And now we get to share with the world. It's just been really nice—we've had so much love and support."
She continues, "It's overwhelming in the best way—I think people love love. And I think anytime you see a love story that's been able to last...and I think a lot of people are shocked that we were able to keep it private for four years. But I think people are...it's really cool that people root for my happiness and our happiness and our relationships. So it's really humbling and overwhelming in the best way."

While appearing on her girlfriend's Scrubbing In podcast, Hayley gets emotional while discussing the time during which she and Becca kept their relationship private.
"When we started dating, I was ready to have a public relationship," the singer begins. "When we were navigating her experience and where she was at in her journey, that obviously shifted. But it was worth it to me because I wanted to be in a relationship with her, and I never felt like she was hiding me."
The singer then starts crying opening up about how Becca has "been through a lot" that she hasn't shared with fans. "She deserves lots of love, and everyone in my community, in our community, deserves to be loved and accepted for who they are," she adds.
"I never want you to feel hidden or like you're a secret, but this is my first time navigating it, and I don't want to have to do it in the public yet," Becca says in response.
"I'm just really proud of us navigating those hard conversations...I had my own stuff going on, but I was so certain of her. It was never like I had doubts about her or was ashamed of her," she adds.
