‘Deadpool 2’ & ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ Director David Leitch, Partner Kelly McCormick Sign With CAA

CAA tonight signed David Leitch, the former stuntman who co-directed John Wick, and helmed Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Atomic Blonde. Agency also signed his wife and creative partner Kelly McCormick and their company 87North.

Leitch had been repped by WME and just recently was set to direct Bullet Train, the Sony Pictures action movie that will star Brad Pitt. That Zak Olkewicz scripted action film is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka. In the novel, five assassins find themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station. Leitch and McCormick produce Bullet Train with Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick.
