Did you see that flash emanating from New York City's Polaris Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday, March 29th? It was the big debut of deadmau5's Cube 2.1 production, as part of his "lots of shows in a row" tour, and it had a glowing radius of about 24,901 miles. Okay, maybe not literally, but with these incredible videos from the production's debut, its mind-boggling light reaches across the globe.
The Cube 2.1 is a massive achievement of engineering and creativity. It's the perfect accompaniment to deadmau5's catalog, which is great because the producer stuffed his setlist full of fan favorites like "Ghosts and Stuff" and "The Veldt." The Cube 2.1 gets the mood right every time, transforming into a giant rotating Rubik's Cube during "Maths" and providing a tastefully flashing backdrop during hallowed set-ender "Strobe."
