DC Young Fly is asking for the safe return of a bag that contained his late partner Jacky Oh’s death certificate.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the 31-year-old rapper (born John Whitfield) said his bag was allegedly stolen while he was at the Hollywood Improv comedy club in Los Angeles.

"I jus want my bag,” he wrote. “Jus politely find a way to get it back to me!!!! I had personal belongings in there!!!!”

The rapper later shared another post requesting the bag’s safe return to the comedy club and giving more explanation about the “personal belongings” inside of it.

He started the post, a video this time, by saying he “really was trying to refrain from these videos.”

“I just want my bookbag bag, it’s just got some personal belongings in that motherf-----, you feel me?” he continued. “Some personal belongings in that motherf-----, bruh.”

The rapper went on to clarify that he is not seeking a reward — “just the personal s--- that’s in there.”

“I really hate that I gotta do all this s---,” he said, adding, “the bag got my girl’s death certificate in it. ... I just need the bag, bruh."

Hours later, the rapper posted another video in which he said, “Ain’t nothing in the bag beneficial,” before adding that he doesn’t care about the “couple of dollars” that were inside it.

“But just don’t throw the bag in the trash,” he pleaded. “Don’t throw the bag on the street. Just drop the bag off discreetly back at the Hollywood Improv and go on ‘bout your business. I get it.”

Oh died on May 31, 2023, from complications from cosmetic surgery, a representative for the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to PEOPLE last September.

DC Young Fly and Oh met in 2015 and welcomed three children together: Nova, Nala and Prince.
