DC Young Fly Mourns Late Sister: “In A Matter Of A Year, I Lost Three People”
DC Young Fly mourns his sister in a social media post. On Monday (Oct. 16), the comedic actor revealed the loss in an emotional Instagram upload.
“In a matter of a year I lost 3 people. My Kuzzin on last august my girl in may and my sister a couple days ago,” detailed the Wild ‘N Out star. “U jus gotta stick through the mission knowin that GOD got u and he will grant you the strength…. Remember he parted the Red Sea not make it disappear .. the problems are still there he jus allowed u to get through it.”
He continued, “Make sure Yu stay righteous don’t hold no grudge because GOD is love and love will always overcome adversity.”
DC’s girlfriend and mother of his children Jacky Oh died suddenly in June at the age of 32. Earlier this month, her cause of death was revealed as cosmetic surgery complications, and was not further investigated by law enforcement.
“I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner,” wrote the 31-year-old as he shared his grief. “You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful. You always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!”
Amid his personal losses, the young actor has managed to push forward. Last month, DC Young Fly was announced as the host of the classic trivia game show, Hollywood Squares, set to return to VH1 this fall. Celebrity guests include Babyface, Bobby Brown, Tiffany Haddish, Kirk Franklin, Bresha Webb, Luenell, Taye Diggs, and more.
