Daytime TV hosts really went crazy on Halloween
It’s Halloween, which can only mean one thing: daytime TV hosts in costume! The Today show got things started with hosts dressing up as country music artists. They were introduced by the legendary Reba McEntire before each performed a song at Today’s own Grand Ole Opry.
Carson Daly started off the performances as Billy Ray Cyrus, mullet and all. He was even joined by Billy himself, who unfortunately was sans mullet. Al Roker did his best Willie Nelson impersonation and even came out of a smoke-filled car like only Willie could. Megyn Kelly tried to have fun as Shania Twain, while KLG and Hoda were The Voice coaches Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus. Luckily for KLG, the real Blake Shelton showed up and seemed to approve. Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer performed a legendary duet as country music icons Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.
Speaking of Dolly, the actual Dolly Parton appeared on Harry, joining in on the show’s Willy Wonka theme, where she dressed up as Veruca Salt.
Ellen DeGeneres appeared on her show as Karla, the lesser-known Kardashian sister. Who, like the rest of the Kardashian Klan seems to be, was pregnant. Ellen slash Karla also had some big news to drop about the next sister who is expecting. Kourtney and Kendall even showed up to denounce Karla’s false rumors.
Finally, Kelly and Ryan had to get into the Halloween shenanigans on Live With Kelly and Ryan. They did what no one expected and dressed up as each other.
