The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the winners of the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards during an in-person ceremony Friday night, hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner (whose show won the prize for best entertainment news series), that aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

Winners in additional Daytime Emmy categories were announced during a Creative Arts and Lifestyle awards ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

More from The Hollywood Reporter

ABC’s General Hospital won a total of seven Emmys, including six during the televised ceremony, taking home the award for best daytime drama series.

The Kelly Clarkson Show won its second consecutive Daytime Emmy for best daytime talk series, as did Clarkson for best daytime talk series host. On Saturday, The Kelly Clarkson Show added to its Emmys haul with four more awards.

The Daytime Emmys was originally scheduled to take place in June but was postponed due to the Writers Guild strike. During Friday night’s ceremony, NATAS chairman Terry Reilly noted that it was the first major awards show since the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes ended in September and November, respectively.

Friday night’s show opened with a tribute to General Hospital star Sonya Eddy, who died in December. Eddy also won a posthumous Daytime Emmy for best supporting actress. The ceremony also paid tribute to Daytime Emmy-winning General Hospital star Tyler Christopher, who died in October.

In addition to Eddy, three performers from General Hospital picked up acting prizes: Robert Gossett (supporting actor), Eden McCoy (younger performer) and Alley Mills (guest performer). The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Thorsten Kaye and Jacqueline MacInnes won the Daytime Emmys for best actor and actress, respectively.

Friday night’s ceremony, held at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles where Saturday’s non-televised event also took place, also saw Susan Lucci receive a lifetime achievement award for her legendary role as Erica Kane on ABC’s All My Children, a part she played from 1970 until the drama’s cancellation in 2011. Infamously, Lucci received 21 Daytime Emmy nominations for lead actress in a daytime drama, winning once in 1999 after her 19th nomination.

On Saturday, Connie Chung presented husband Maury Povich with a lifetime achievement award.

Saturday’s Creative Arts ceremony also saw Netflix’s Island of the Sea Wolves win four awards and Apple TV+’s Home win two awards.

Elsewhere, José Andrés and Family in Spain won best culinary series while Justin Sutherland of TBS/TNT/truTV’s Taste the Culture beat out big names like Ina Garten, Guy Fieri and Emeril Lagasse to win best culinary host. And Mike Corey of The Weather Channel’s Uncharted Adventure won best daytime program host over Zac Efron, Martha Stewart, Danielle Brooks and others.
