Days of Old concert set for North Heidelberg Township church [Religion Digest]

Jul. 22----There will be a free concert by Days of Old at North Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 211 Sheidy Road, North Heidelberg Township, on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be outdoors unless it rains, then it will be held indoors. Ice cream will be available to purchase.

—A gospel concert featuring Jeff Krick Sr. will be held on July 30 at 4 p.m. at Kissinger's Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing. A free will offering will be taken.

—The Houck and Kehs families will present special music during the 9 a.m. worship service at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County. There will be coffee and conversation at 8:30 and 10 a.m. in the Welcome Center.

—The monthly Community Children's Clothing Closet will be open at United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Clothing is free. Also during that time, the Soup 'n' Such Community Meal will be open for dine in our take out.

—Shirley Breininger will be the guest soloist at the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday in the Memorial Hall at St. John's Gernant's Church (A Federated Congregation), 12 Gernant's Church Road, Ontelaunee Township. She will sing "Jesus I Love You."

—The following events have been scheduled at Rosedale Camp Grove, 1616 Vine St., Laureldale: today, breakfast, 7-11 a.m., all you can eat, $9, includes coffee; Sunday, music with River of Grace, 6:30 p.m., free will offering, ice cream social to follow; Monday-Triday, Good News Mini Camp, 12:30-4 p.m., free, lunch provided, register at https://www.rosedalecampgrove.org or call 610-823-7827 for more information; next Saturday, breakfast, 7-11 a.m., all you can eat, $9, includes coffee.

—Fr. Bryce Wandrey will offer an adult forum on Sunday morning at 9:05 at Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading, entitled "Living Life to Its Fullest: Maintaining Ganuine Relationships." The forum will be held in the first floor parlor. Parking is available in the Abe Lincoln Hotel garage and the M&T Bank lot, both located off of Washington Street. Handicap spaces are available beside the church on Court Street.

—Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will hold a time of fellowship and refreshments in the narthex following the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

—Max Muller will perform "My Tribute" at the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Zion's Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township.

—Together Time, a period of fellowship and refreshment, will take place after the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township.

—Glen Fisher will be the guest flutist at the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Richmond Township. He will accomany organist Rexine Krause with selections from Bach and some familiar hymns.

—Those with special needs/IDD, their family and friends are invited to the Berks Festival of Faith picnic and outdoor worship service at Bern United Church of Christ picnic grove, 3197 Bernville Road, Bern Township, on Tuesday. The picnic is from 4:30-5:30, followed by the service at 5:45.

—Guest musician Megan Kline will present an oboe solo at the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Bern Reformed United Church of Christ, 3196 Bernville Road, Bern Township. Following worship, memorial trees will be dedicated in memory of Grace Reeser and Gary Reed.

—Coffee hour will be held after the 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, in the social room.

—Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 S Waverly St., Shillington, welcomes the jazz group The Snack Club to its 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday as part of its Summer Jazz Worship programming. The Snack Club is made up of Mike Eben, saxophones; Ken Kemmerer, tuba; Carl Zeplin, guitar; Tim Gross, keyboard and saxophone; and John Fundyga, drums. Also in attendance and performing with The Snack Club will be students from the GetJazzed Summer Jazz Camps. GetJazzed Summer Jazz Camps are hosted by Mike Eben at Immanuel and supported by Berks Arts and Boscov's Berks Jazz Fest. Special jazz prelude begins at 8:50 a.m.
