Donald Trump Jr., appeared on "The Ingraham Angle" Thursday night and made wild claims about the coronavirus pandemic. While complaining that Minnesota officials are sticking to state coronavirus guidelines and limiting the number of people allowed to attend President Trump’s upcoming rally, the president's son claimed that coronavirus deaths in the U.S. are “down to almost nothing.” This came on the same day that over 1,000 Americans died from the coronavirus, and the U.S. set a single-day record for new coronavirus cases.

Trump Jr. also claimed that the U.S. has the coronavirus under control, despite mounting evidence to the contrary, like the aforementioned record cases, Wisconsin now running low on available ICU beds, and El Paso, Texas, issuing a two-week shutdown of non-essential services because of a severe spike in new cases.

DONALD TRUMP JR: If you look-- I put it up on my Instagram a couple of days ago, because I went through the CDC data, because I keep hearing about new infections. But I was like, well, why aren't they talking about this? Oh, oh, because the number is almost.

- On a day when the US set a record for new coronavirus cases in a single day and over 1,000 Americans die from the coronavirus, Donald Trump Junior claimed that deaths in the US are down to almost nothing. The president's son went on to tout therapeutics, the most prevalent of which is remdesivir, which is only being used in the most severe cases, and claimed that the US has the coronavirus under control, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.

DONALD TRUMP JR: We've gotten control of this thing. We understand how it works. They have the therapeutics to be able to deal with this. If you look at that, look at my Instagram, it's gone to almost nothing. We're outperforming Europe in a positive way so well, because we've gotten a hold of this.

- Don Junior went on to repeat the falsehood that cases are only up, because testing is up, as positivity rates continue to rise across the country.

DONALD TRUMP JR: Rising case numbers are all because they're testing more. So I mean, they don't talk about that either.
