Ready to build up your summer fun?

Legoland New York Resort is launching a new initiative motivating parents to join in the fun with a new spin on PTO (personal time off) days with the "Play Time Off" pledge this season.

The interactive theme park is encouraging parents to commit to taking some play time off to build connections and create memories. "Take the Play Time Off" offers participants a chance to win one free adult ticket with the purchase of a kid's ticket to the first 10,000 pledges, according to prnewswire.com.

Taking a day offers benefits in the workplace by reducing burnout.

In fact, 68% of CEOs say that parents tend to be more creative in the workplace because they play — defined as activities that you enjoy without an agenda in mind — with their kids, and 79% say play positively impacts innovation and culture in the workplace, according to a 2024 survey of 100 U.S. CEOs conducted by Opinium on behalf of Legoland New York. The survey found 66% of CEOs would consider benefits that encourage employees to play more, including time off to play.

"Every day here at Legoland New York we see what happens when families come together and get lost in their own imaginations. It's such a special experience for both parents and kids, so we wanted to make it even easier for more families to experience that at Legoland this 2024 season," Stephanie Johnson, divisional director of Legoland New York, told prnewswire.com.
