David Ortiz Reportedly Shot During a Robbery Attempt in the Dominican Republic
Former MLB star David Ortiz was shot during a robbery attempt, his father told ESPN.
Leo Ortiz told the network his son was shot while at an amusement center in Santa Domingo. He told ESPN, “They called me to tell me that David is injured and that they took him to a medical center, but they did not tell me how he is or exactly where he was transferred.”
While early reports said Ortiz was shot in the leg, Dominican television station CDN 37 is now reporting he was shot in the abdomen.
