In a second post on Instagram Stories, Henrie reshared a post from his television son Thiele. The young actor shared a photo of himself with a background of Henrie in a Wizards of Waverly Place poster.

“Like father like son?” the photo was captioned.

Seeing the strong resemblance with Thiele, Henrie added, “I don’t know if we could cast any closer to me back in the day ha ha.”

Thomas had previously shared the photos of the Wizards of Waverly Place reunion, captioning the post, “The adventure begins.”

Gomez and Henrie will executive produce the Wizards of Waverly Place revival. They will reprise their roles as Alex and Justin Russo, respectively. The series “picks up after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife and two sons. But he gets a surprise when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door… and Justin must embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World.”

Todd J. Greenwald created Wizards of Waverly Place, which ran for four seasons on the Disney Channel between October 2007 and January 2012. The series revolved around Gomez’s Alex Russo, a teenage wizard undertaking training alongside her siblings Justin and Max, who all have magical abilities.
