David Hasselhoff recently announced his upcoming covers record, Open Your Eyes, and shared his rendition of the title track aided by The Stooges guitarist James Williamson. Today, the actor/German pop star has revealed his take on The Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Head On”.
With the help of The Cars guitarist Elliot Easton, The Hoff pulls off the 1989 Reid brothers’ hit with ease. Doused in ’80s rock nostalgia, Hasselhoff cooly moves through the vocals as Easton hammers out precise guitar chords over pumped-up drums. There’s no doubt the two are having fun with it.

Hasselhoff’s Open Your Eyes comes out September 27th, equipped with his version of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” with Ministry. The album also promises covers of The Modern Lovers, Echo and the Bunnymen, and more. Pre-orders are available via Bandcamp and Amazon.
