David Gilmour has confirmed his first tour dates in support of his newly announced album, Luck and Strange.

In October 2024, the former Pink Floyd member will play six shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London. They mark his first confirmed live performances in eight years.

Registration for a ticket pre-sale is ongoing through May 8th, ahead of a general ticket on-sale on Friday, May 10th via Ticketmaster.

Previewing his upcoming tour dates in an interview with Uncut, Gilmour expressed a desire to avoid playing ’70s-era Pink Floyd material. “[Other decades] might be better represented,” he explained. “I mean, at least one from the Sixties. The one we’ve done in the past is 1967’s ‘Astronomy.’ That’s always entertaining and fun and gets people off to a happy start. There’s songs from [1987’s] A Momentary Lapse of Reason and [1994’s] The Division Bell albums. I mean, I think ‘High Hopes’ is as good as anything we ever did at any time.” Gilmour didn’t cite a specific reason for avoiding Pink Floyd classics from Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall, but it’s presumably due to his estranged relationship with former Pink Floyd bandmate Roger Waters, who spearheaded these albums. (For fans who do prefer to see those classic Pink Floyd albums performed live, Brit Floyd is heading back on tour soon.)

Luck and Strange, Gilmour’s first new album in nine years, is set for release on September 6th. As a preview, he released “The Piper’s Call” as the album’s first single.
