David Foster's daughter Erin on younger stepmom Katharine McPhee: We 'genuinely love' her

David Foster's daughter Erin is gushing over new stepmom Katharine McPhee Foster.

“The truth is we really genuinely love Katharine,” she told US Weekly earlier in the week. “It takes a very strong, graceful person to come into a family as the fifth wife and have adult daughters who are older than her and do it in a way that really creates inclusion with the family, and she just does it effortlessly. She just makes it really easy for all of us to get along. So we’re very grateful for her.”

The couple tied the knot in London in June, on the anniversary of the release of the now 35-year-old McPhee Foster's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" cover, her first single after her run on "American Idol." The song dropped 13 years prior, and her now-hubby Foster produced it.

This is McPhee Foster's second marriage and Foster's fifth. She was married to Nick Cokas from 2008 to 2016, and the music producer, 69, was married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and Yolanda Hadid.

Foster has five children: Allison, 49, Amy, 46, Sara, 38, Erin, 37, and Jordan, 33. What does Erin think about the possibility of getting a new sibling?

“Anything that makes them happy, I’m happy with," she told Us Weekly.
