Evans revealed that "The kids and I have moved away from David."

"Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know thats [sic] what is best for me, and for my kids."

"Today I've filed papers to start that process."

Evans thanked fans for the love over the last few months, and explained, "I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you'll hear from us again soon."

As Evans made her announcement, Eason seemed unbothered and was showing off some metalworking skills while crafting a knife out of a railroad spike.

He showed off the process in various steps, including the finished products, literally minutes after Evans made her divorce announcement.

Just the day prior, Eason was showing love to his wife on social media. On Wednesday he posted a photo of Jenelle and their daughter, Ensley, and wrote they were "The most perfect sight I've ever seen!"

From what it sounds like, the two were already broken up, so it's possible the post was an attempt at winning back his estranged wife's heart.

Things also seemed strong on Evans' side, as she recently shared photos of the family at a monster truck event near their home in North Carolina.

"Today was fun," she wrote alongside a picture of the then-happy couple smiling.

The two also just took a trip to Nashville in September while celebrating their anniversary.

"Happy 2nd wedding anniversary to us babe!" she captioned photos of the couple cuddled up on the beach.

She also revealed a romantic dinner the two shared, and everything appeared to be good between them.

The divorce comes after many months of drama for the two, which began with the tragic death of Evans' french bulldog, Nugget.

Eason brutally murdered the dog after it had nipped at their daughter, and even though Jenelle tried to protect her husband, he later confirmed that he was responsible for the dog's grisly death.

After Nugget's death, the two former reality stars lost custody of their children and were forced to go through the legal process to prove themselves as parents and get custody back.
