In 2015, David Byrne gathered artists for a multi-disciplinary performance called Contemporary Color. For the event, he recruited 10 artists (including St. Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock, Dev Hynes, Zola Jesus, tUnE-yArDs, How to Dress Well, and more) to work on original music with color guard teams from across North America. In 2016, a documentary about the show screened at the Tribeca Film Festival (and took home multiple awards). Now, the film is getting a theatrical release on March 1. Below, watch a trailer for Contemporary Color, which includes appearances by St. Vincent, Byrne, and more. See the latest screening dates here.

St. Vincent just directed a movie of her own. Read our interview with her about the film on the Pitch.
