David Bowie’s Character Returns to 'Twin Peaks'

In footage from 1992’s Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me

David Bowie’s character, FBI agent Phillip Jeffries, made an appearance in the new episode of “Twin Peaks” tonight. Watch it here. He showed up in a dream sequence Gordon Cole (played by David Lynch) recounted to Albert Rosenfield (played by Miguel Ferrer). The footage of Bowie was taken from his original appearance in the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. In May, actor Harry Goaz said Bowie was set to reprise his role before his death in January 2016. In previous episodes, Moby, Sky Ferreira, Hudson Mohawke, Au Revoir Simone, Nine Inch Nails, and more have appeared or performed on the show. The Chromatics have performed twice since the third season’s launch.

On September 8, “Twin Peaks” will release two new soundtracks. Sound and music supervisor David Hurley recently released a compilation album, Anthology Resource Vol. 1: △△, featuring his work for the series.
