David Beckham loves an afternoon with family.

The former professional soccer player, 48, shared a sweet selfie with his mom, Sandra Beckham, as the two enjoyed lunch together and cleaned up the dishes afterward.

The pair appeared to enjoy eggs, ham, and potatoes for their lunch. The selfie from the afternoon also shows Sandra dressing two pieces of bread at the kitchen counter. David also shared a shot of his mom and him sharing a laugh as they cleaned up after the meal. In the photo, David smiles ear-to-ear as he looks at his mom.

"Lunch with mum & then the dishes with a few laughs 🩷," he captioned the post.

David also called out his younger sister, Joanne, who wasn't featured in the photos but was at lunch too and "didn't do dishes SHOCKER 😂."

David's wife, Victoria Beckham, their son Cruz, 18, and their daughter Harper, 12, were also tagged in the caption of the lunch Instagram post, though they weren't featured in the photographs.

While David's mother still lives in England, the athlete, his wife, and his kids split their time between the U.K. and Miami, where he owns the Inter Miami soccer club.

The family has traveled to different locations over the holidays, spending time together in the Bahamas in Miami in the lead-up to Christmas.

On Dec. 21, David and Victoria's son, Brooklyn Beckham, 24, shared a video on Instagram of the family's trip to the Bahamas, which featured a sweet clip of his wife, Nicola Peltz, dancing with Victoria, 49, and some other clips of the group enjoying the tropical getaway. Brooklyn tagged his parents, wife, younger brother Cruz, and sister Harper in the post. His brother, Romeo, was notably absent.

Brooklyn wrote in the caption, "Miss you, Romeo," acknowledging his brother's absence from the trip.

One day later, Victoria shared a family photo of the same group, this time in Miami — and sporting matching pajamas. "Santa came early in Miami!!! 🎄x I love u all so much xxxx," she captioned the photos, which included a group shot of her, David, Cruz, Brooklyn, Nicola, and Harper, as well as a shot of just her and David with their oldest child, and a solo shot of the couple.

Romeo, who plays soccer full-time in the U.K., following in his dad's footsteps, was also missing from this gathering. "We miss u," the fashion designer captioned the photos and tagged her 21-year-old son.

After Miami, the Beckham family traveled across the pond to be with Romeo on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. However, Brooklyn and Nicola were not in tow, based on Victoria's posts on Instagram.

In one hilarious video, the former Spice Girls star revealed that one of her Christmas gifts to her husband was several chickens for their coop.

"What do you get @davidbeckham for Christmas??" she captioned the video, which saw David feeding the animals, which Victoria called "Beckham chickens."

She also shared a photo of David presiding over the Christmas meal — a turkey and a roasted chicken. He wore a Santa hat for the occasion and held a large glass of red wine in his hand, with a knife in the other, as he prepared to slice into the family's holiday meal.
