David Alan Grier, Sharon Lawrence Among Five to Join Cast of Spectrum Originals Drama ‘Joe Pickett’

David Alan Grier, Sharon Lawrence, Julianna Guill, Mustafa Speaks and Paul Sparks have joined the cast of Spectrum Original’s “Joe Pickett,” the drama series from the team behind “Waco.”

Michael Dorman (“For All Mankind”) stars in “Joe Pickett” as a game warden navigating the changing political and socio-economic climate in a small rural town in Wyoming of Saddlestring that hides decades of schemes and secrets that are yet to be uncovered.

Guill (“The Resident,” “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce”) will play his wife, Marybeth Pickett, described as charming, forthright, and probably the smartest person in all of Saddlestring. Lawrence (“Rebel,” “Becoming a God in Central Florida”) will play Missy, Marybeth’s mother.

David Alan Grier, now co-starring on the Netflix comedy “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me,” will play Vern, a former gregarious, larger than life game warden. “Dave” and “Seven Seconds” actor Mustafa Speaks will play Nate, a former Special Operations soldier. Paul Sparks will play Wacey, an ex-rodeo cowboy who is about to begin his campaign for sheriff. Also joining the cast are Skywalker Hughes and Kamryn Pliva.

The mystery series, which will air for a nine-month exclusive run on Spectrum, is based on the New York Times bestselling thriller series penned by C.J. Box, who has been tapped to executive produce “Joe Pickett.”

The ten-episode series hails from Paramount Television Studios and from creators John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (“Waco”), who are also writing, directing and executive producing. Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher will also executive produce alongside the Dowdle brothers for Red Wagon Entertainment and Box.
